‘Fix your map first’: Vox’s map of Africa needs its own explanation
Daily occurrence. Someone from Vox tries to lecture others on a topic only to embarrass themselves: https://t.co/ESrrY0aXDD

As Twitchy reported, Delta Airlines’ seemingly harmless congratulatory tweet to the U.S. World Cup team led to accusations of racism when Delta used a photo of a giraffe to represent Ghana. Fortunately, Vox.com was there to explain exactly where in Africa giraffes are found. Unfortunately, Vox’s map needed a little Voxsplaining too.
@mattyglesias As a Sudanese, I tell you to fix your map first before lecturing us about giraffes in Africa! @jilliancyork

@jilliancyork @simsimt @mattyglesias heh sorta rare to see a map that includes Somaliland as a separate country but not South Sudan!

@jilliancyork @simsimt @mattyglesias btw June 26 and July 1 1960, i.e. after Somalia's independence but b4 SL signed act of union w/south

That’s rather specific.
@ArminRosen hehe, that'd explain the Sudan map as well! @jilliancyork @mattyglesias
