As Twitchy reported, conservatives were rightly disgusted with CNN’s Carol Costello when in an on-air segment she introduced audio suggesting that Bristol Palin was assaulted by a man at a brawl in Anchorage, Alaska last month as “quite possibly the best minute and half of audio we’ve come across in a long long time.” And then she laughed as it played.

On Thursday, Costello issued a statement to Politico saying, “Over the past few days I have been roundly criticized for joking about a brawl involving the Palin family. In retrospect, I deserve such criticism and would like to apologize.”

And that’s it.

Dean Cain and followers still couldn’t shake Costello’s smugness.

For now, this is still CNN.
