Trevor Phillips: Muslims ‘see the world differently from the rest of us’

Trevor Phillips, the U.K.’s former head of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, said in an interview that Muslims “see the world differently from the rest of us” and that it’s disrespectful to ask them to integrate into British society.

Yeah, that might cause a problem:

The Daily Mail and the Independent are quoting from a Times piece titled, “Muslims are not like us, race equality chief says” which is where they’re getting their quotes from.

Here are his exact words:

Phillips added,Continuously pretending that a group is somehow eventually going to become like the rest of us is perhaps the deepest form of disrespect.”
