This Dog Adorably Watches Over The Homeless Kittens At An Arizona Shelter.

The Arizona Humane Society’s Kitten Nursery just hired the cutest nanny to watch over their little ones: a 12-year-old pup named Boots.

A chow/golden retriever mix, Boots spends time playing and hanging out with the tiny kitties in order to help them adjust to other animals and increase their chances of adoption.

Since most homes already have another pet in them, this helps the kittens understand what life will be like once they’re adopted.

Studies show that cats have a small window during kittenhood where exposure to new things will directly impact their acclimation to things changing later in their lives.

Vacuums, car rides, and laundry machines are all on the list of things these little guys need to get used to.

Boots seems to enjoy the social time as much as the kittens, too. The calm pup stays chill while the erratic kittens run around trying to figure out the big guy.

You check in on how Boots and the kittens are getting along on the organization’s Facebook page. Those in the area who are interested in adopting their own little one can find more information on their website.
