Delusional excuses: Obama says he lost debate because he was too polite

Precious.

As Twitchy reported yesterday, President Squee bought into his own hype. He believed that he is just so awesome, he won the debate in Denver. Even poor little David Axelrod was “stunned” by that pitiful delusion. But, wait, it gets worse! After thinking that he won the debate, he now he admits he lost, sort of. Because, too polite. That’s right. No one got the nuance-y nuance of his oh-so-polite ways. Weird. We didn’t realize that lethargy and ineptitude, mixed with sneering contempt, is actually politeness.

But don’t worry; there will be “more activity” next time. Because that was the problem.

Obama says he was "just too polite" at the first debate, expect "a little more activity" next week. w/ @anncompton http://t.co/ObnMsJcx

More from ABC News:

Conceding that he failed to deliver at last week’s debate, President Obama says he was “just too polite” and that voters should expect “a little more activity” next week in round two.

In a radio interview on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Obama compared the presidential race to a seven-game basketball series in which he was ahead two-nothing and lost one game to Mitt Romney at the debate.

“You have a seven-game series, we’re up two zero and we lose one,” he explained. “You know, this is a long haul and I think that it’s very important for folks to make sure that they understand that as long as people stay focused, we will win this thing.”

He’s up? In what world, champ? By focused, perhaps he means focused on voter fraud. That’s Obama for America’s standard operating procedure, as James O’Keefe exposed today.

These poor souls believe the “too polite” absurdity.

Pres. Obama acknowledges he was too polite to Romney in the debate but Romney made a lot of mistakes and there's another debate. #TJMS

President Obama was trying to be polite at the debate. It may have been a mistake but he has our back, shouldn't we have his? #obama2012

Oh, sweeties.

But non-cultist Twitter users gasp for breath at this new revelation.

Romney was just as polite, just more forceful. MT @c_good: Obama says he was "just too polite" at debate. http://t.co/Dp8rHasZ@AnnCompton

I don't think "polite" means what Obama thinks it means.

Bingo! Iowahawk clarifies for President Excuses.

Obama admits to being lethargic, dull and rambling at last debate, promises to be flailing and desperate at next one http://t.co/6ZXqYC2Y

Heh. Guess what? Looks like the president couldn’t even come up with such pathetically sad excuse all on his own.

Since the 1st debate, Pres Obama says he's had "a bunch of folks" tell him: “Don't be so polite, don’t be so nice.”

— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) October 9, 2012

Now that’s just sad.
