Well, this is awkward.
Earlier today, Donald Trump’s official Twitter account sent out a retweet:
Guess someone eventually realized that that might not be the best way for Donald to win Iowans’ hearts and minds, because the tweet later vanished. But don’t worry there’s a really good explanation for what happened: The intern did it.
Hilarious.
It’s also some pretty weak sauce:
When CNN asked Trump whether he endorses what he retweets this August, he said, “Well I do retweets, and I mean, to a certain extent, I do, yeah. I think that’s right. Do you want me to say no? You know, I retweet, I retweet for a reason.”
Did we mention this was awkward?
