In an article posted last week on Kveller.com, “Big Bang Theory” actress Mayim Bialik admitted that although she’s a bleeding heart liberal, she doesn’t want her kids learning about sex from billboards.

The billboard in question features former Nickelodeon mainstay and pop singer Ariana Grande. Bialik claims to have no idea what Grande does, but “based on the billboard, she sells lingerie. Or stiletto heels. Or plastic surgery because every woman over 22 wishes she has that body, I’m sure. Why is she in her underwear on this billboard though? And if she has a talent (is she a singer?), then why does she have to sell herself in lingerie?”

Bialik took some heat for what some saw as picking on Grande.

@missmayim you're old and ugly so that must be why you're upset.

@missmayim: Disturbed by billboards featuring half-naked starlets? I am.” Stay Unfamous

@missmayim you honestly need to shut the fuck up.

@missmayim love yourself and stop worrying about @ArianaGrande

— keemi fenty (@keemifenty) September 13, 2014

@missmayim Why being silent for years and now bashing Araina Grande? Were you paid for bashing her, because I don't believe you're honest.

@coldplaygrande @missmayim she's making it seem as if ariana is naked and looking like a whore all the time 😂

— Ariana Grande Stan (@jcblovesariana) September 13, 2014

@missmayim A girl should be able to wear whatever they feel comfortable in whether it's a long dress or lingerie teach that to your sons

@missmayim Ariana likes the way she dresses and feels comfortable with herself. So if she wants to be "half naked" she fucking will.

— Kimberly || TODAY (@CabelloxAri) September 13, 2014

@missmayim then move to North Korea, they dont have billboards 😊

Stand down, “AG DEFENSE SQUAD.”

Nothing personal against Ariana Grande or sexy women. Chill out, people. My @Kveller post was social commentary! Have a sense of humor!

— Mayim Bialik (@missmayim) September 14, 2014

@missmayim @Kveller I thoroughly agreed with what you said in your blog. Too much sexualisation, especially of young girls!

— Rose (@Rakpenguin63) September 14, 2014

@missmayim @kveller I personally liked the post. It made me chuckle when you said she sold lingerie. People need to lighten up over celebs.

@missmayim you shouldn't have to apologize. I agree with what you said.

@AnnerChisline @missmayim @Kveller Life is just took short to not laugh. It really is. Mayim hit the nail on the head, that's the real deal

— Lisa (@FotoMama986) September 14, 2014

@missmayim we normal people understand, Mayim. It's the crazy fans who feel the need to take everything personally who are being ridiculous
