Palestinian activists turn on Red Hot Chili Peppers

Refusing to boycott Israel has the Red Hot Chili Peppers in hot water with Palestinian activists. The band is scheduled to play Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv, Sept. 10, 2012. The concert’s opening act, Lebanon’s Mashrou’ Leila, has canceled, and many are calling for the band to ditch the date. It seems even a liberal bunch like RHCP is not immune to the ire of the Left. After all, one can’t allow art — or economics — to betray politics.
Famed Lebanese band @mashrou3leila announce will not open 4 @ChiliPeppers given subsequent concert in Israel: http://t.co/ZRu5MKVH #bds

But not everyone wants the band to bail. Some are willing to put politics aside for good music.
MT @haivri: @chilipeppers Don't give in to BDS terrorism. Feel free to perform in Israel.
