The Rock in Rio event is bringing the big boys this year, featuring acts such as The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, and The Smashing Pumpkins, who don’t really perform as much as they used to. Their return to Lisbon has been heavily anticipated, and everyone’s talking on Twitter about their performance which is streaming online right now. They’ve done their hits, they’ve played some rarities, they’ve even performed a cover of Pantera’s “Walk.” What are fans saying about Billy Corgan and his group of alt-grunge legends? Find out for yourself:
Loving the Smashing Pumpkins in #RockinRio Brings back many memories of watching them live back in university 🙁

Forrealz, @Billy Corgan, way to redeem yourself with the increasingly awesome setlists. Let's hope all of Oceania sounds that good.

Its refreshing to see Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins trending as opposed to the usual Justin Bieber and One Direction.

Even wrestling legend Iron Sheik had to hand over some props to Mr. Corgan:
The Billy Corgan play the good music but most important love the wrestling business

Seems like we’re all in agreement: The Smashing Pumpkins can still kick unbelievable tons of butt, and that’s a good sign with a new album due in several weeks. Oceania seems sure to revive one of the most popular bands of the 90’s, and bring a new legion of fans to Corgan and the crew.
