The War on Women: It’s coming from inside the feminist movement.
Amanda Marcotte, the gutter-dweller who embraced “genital nicking” as a substitute for female genital mutilation, now suggests rape is preferable to shooting a rapist.
Ten out of ten rapists agree.
After coming across Bob Beckel’s foul remarks that trivialized date rape, Marcotte responded by lashing out … at gun rights advocates.
See, if a woman’s date tries to rape her and she shoots him, the cops might not believe her and she could end up in the pokey. We assume Amanda says things like “pokey” since her logic clearly isn’t from this decade.
Let’s say a woman packs heat on a date, and her date does try to rape her and she shoots him. What will the cops think?

Already the police are quick to argue that a woman who files a rape report against her date is lying. If she shoots him, then what?

“So, no.” It’s the usual demeaning, infantilizing feminist tripe: Women can’t be trusted with the decision to arm themselves. Bless their ditzy little hearts. Without Amanda to think for them, women might actually believe firearms are suitable rape deterrents.
Claiming girls should take guns on dates and shoot guys who try to rape them without fear of jail shows how conservatives have lost it.

Few ideologies are more paternalistic — and dangerous — than the anti-choice leftism that seeks to disarm women, ostensibly for their own good.
Whistles, “safe zones,” well-timed release of bodily fluids? Femme-a-gogue approved. Concealed-carry of a handgun? You’ll shoot his eye out!
Heaven forfend.
Like State Rep. Joe Salazar and his fellow Colorado Dems, Marcotte insists women are incapable of making wise choices when their safety and bodily integrity are threatened. Better raped than armed, right? Once again, feminist “empowerment” leaves women powerless.
Marcotte’s brand of progressive feminism depends and thrives on a culture of victimhood. And women aren’t just acceptable casualties — they’re necessary casualties.
