Holder contempt vote part of a secret GOP plan to disenfranchise voters?

http://twitter.com/#!/utaustinliberal/status/215573082931331073

We’ve already been told that today’s vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress was motivated by race. Some liberals, though, see the move as part of an ongoing GOP effort to disenfranchise voters this November.

AG Holder stops GOP Voter Suppression in FL so @DarrellIssa hunts him on #FastAndFurious. Just so they know that we know what they're doing.

This is, of course, a reference to the state of Florida’s effort (in compliance with federal law) to double check its voter rolls and remove duplicates, deceased individuals, and other ineligible voters. Unfortunately for the left, dead and duplicate voters are a key Democrat constituency that will be essential to victory in the coming election. As a result of this, the effort to remove ineligible names from the rolls is being (laughably) labeled “voter suppression,” and Holder’s Department of Justice is suing Florida to halt the purge.

But wait. There’s more:

@Voter99percent @DarrellIssa's motives clear. Force Holder to resign, create chaos @ DOJ, distract from investigation of disenfranchisement

— Bonnie Hussein Obama (@BJHare) June 20, 2012

@SpeakerBoehner @GOPLeader So y r u not investigating PrezBush who started the program? B/cause Holder is investigating voter fraud, right?

— Betsy (@bbkenn92) June 20, 2012

@Politicsnation Clearly, Darrell Issa & Republicans are attacking Eric holder & Justice Dept to stop them from working on voter suppression

— Sharon Jones (@sharblom) June 20, 2012

@JoanneBAlmeida Part of why this call for Holder's resignation. Cornyn let it slip it is also about voter suppression Rs want ALL power.

— Kathy V/M (@kgvm) June 20, 2012

Real reason GOP going after Eric Holder is smoke & mirrors to get Justice Dept. & public distracted from immigration & voter suppression #p2

— inglamwetrust (@inglamwetrust) June 20, 2012

@DarrellIssa Suddenly your witch hunt motive becomes crystal clear. If Holder resigns there will be no A.G. to stop voter suppression/purges

— Bonnie Hussein Obama (@BJHare) June 20, 2012

@TheLastWord @jheil @krystalball1 AG Holder is in the way of GOP voter suppression laws. Why is it so hard to vote? #fightback #politics

@politicsnation – it's about AG Holder going after Florida for voter purge.

— Arthur Messenger (@amessenger349) June 20, 2012

@PoliticsNation @repcleaver AG Holder is in their way. GOP want to suppress the votes for Dems. #fightback #politics

— R.L.Cunningham jr. (@zmg4life) June 20, 2012

Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag @JohnCornyn Now we know it's about AG Holder stopping your @GOP voter suppression Where R the JOBS

— Tree Hugging LIBERAL (@CJFinNM) June 20, 2012

If they get rid of AG Holder, they're able to suppress votes. That's what this is all about. If he resigns the election is lost. #fightback

— R.L.Cunningham jr. (@zmg4life) June 20, 2012

Holder: Stops GOP voter suppression laws, stops defending DOMA. So what is the GOP really aiming at?

— Eli Rubenstein (@EliRubenstein) June 20, 2012

Clearly, the GOP is aiming at full-bore “voter suppression,” and it has been caught by these too-smart-to-fool defenders of the attorney general and the Obama administration.
