Boy, does it smart! MSNBC’s ratings are down and Chris Hayes is at the helm of the sinking ship.

Lean Backwards! All In is all down: @chrislhayes ratings down 18% from Big Ed, maybe affecting @maddow who’s down 7%.freebeacon.com/all-out-hayes-…

More from the Free Beacon:

The April debut of All In with Chris Hayes on MSNBC was a dud, down 18 percent in total viewers compared to last year’s program in the 8 p.m. slot, The Ed Show.

MSNBC’s 9 p.m. program, The Rachel Maddow Show, while down 7 percent from April 2012, drew 213,000 more viewers than All In, according to the newly released ratings for April 2013.

Twitter users gasp for breath, while pointing and snickering at the smug-tastic Hayes.

This Twitter user offers up a possible reason for the low ratings. Besides, you know, the insufferable arrogance.

@johnnydollar01 @chrislhayes @maddow I wonder if anyone with any military ties at all, relatives etc, is tuning in? doubtful. #justsayin

Huh. Perhaps Mr. Hayes’ revolting Memorial Day revelation about how he is uncomfortable calling our fallen soldiers heroes didn’t go over so well.

Fancy that.
