Stay classy: Daily Kos asks donors, ‘Let’s make Ann Romney suffer’

No, we certainly don’t expect anything classy from the folks at Daily Kos, and we won’t even call this a new low for the site.

To be honest, the fundraiser to which the tweet links has nothing to do with Ann Romney at all, or even Mitt. Rather, Kos readers are solicited for donations to support “Daily Kos-endorsed women candidates for the House and Senate” who will “fight back against the Republican War on Women—and maybe even shrink some penises with their feminism.”

How will that make Ann Romney suffer? It won’t, but it seems someone just really wanted to say that. And the tweet did get attention.

Disgusting, but typical of the Daily Kos (they are a lost Kos) http://t.co/fod6SUkv

As far as examples of “suffering,” the Kos Kids quote from Romney’s RNC speech, where she recounted the early days of her marriage to Mitt: “We were living on the edge, not entertaining. No, I did not work. Mitt thought it was important for me to stay home with the children, and I was delighted.” Delighted to be home with the children equals suffering in Kosland? Got it. Now what was that about a war on women?
