@errollouis What headlines?
— rolandsmartin (@rolandsmartin) October 5, 2014
Good point, Roland Martin. Headlines about the latest scandal to hit the Sharpton camp have been confined primarily to the New York tabloids. That scandal involves the alleged rape of a woman by attorney Sanford Rubenstein following Sharpton’s 60th birthday party this week.
@errollouis @TheRevAl @WBLS1075NYC al no outrage? Silence? NY Times silent too.

The New York Daily News reports:
The high-powered attorney has been accused of raping a woman at his Manhattan home following the Rev. Al Sharpton’s 60th birthday bash on Wednesday, the Daily News has learned.
The alleged incident, first reported at NYDailyNews.com, took place at Rubenstein’s swanky E. 64th St. apartment hours after Sharpton’s star-studded party at the Four Seasons restaurant in Manhattan, law enforcement sources told The News.
The alleged victim is a 42-year-old business executive and a “top official” at Sharpton’s National Action Network, according to sources and the civil rights advocacy group.
@NYDailyNews Looks like the makings of a Law & Order SUV storyline.

Of course these charges won’t distract Sharpton from his latest quest for justice, this one involving Eric Garner, who was reportedly killed by a police chokehold while in custody in July. But it is something for Sharpton to acknowledge the rape scandal on the radio, and even stranger to hear Anthony Weiner weigh in.
@errollouis I wonder if Sharpton will lean on this woman on his board to take a private settlement? Rubenstein is a money maker for him.

@CharmianNeary @errollouis other way around, no? Anybody who is Al's goto lawyer gets lots of business.

@anthonyweiner @errollouis You're probably right, although I'm sure there's a mutual benefit. pic.twitter.com/ldhW1LXP1S

@CharmianNeary @errollouis yeah. I'm sure Al gets a piece. But he will with the next guy too. 24 hours until sandy is thrown overboard
— Anthony Weiner (@anthonyweiner) October 5, 2014
@anthonyweiner @CharmianNeary I guess 24 hrs until name of accuser is published. What's already printed is pretty much a roadmap.

What do the Rev. Al’s fans think? Yes, he has at least one fan.
@msnbc @TheRevAl I am a fan but i wonder what his reaction to the rape accusations against his lawyer. http://t.co/Ds5KUdLox3

@liberalnyer1 @msnbc @TheRevAl That it is a lie and Rubenstein is an upstanding citizen who has done many great things for the community!
— Matthew Battle (@librab103) October 5, 2014
@librab103 @msnbc @TheRevAl Well he is innocent until proven guilty. I don't know if it is a lie.

@liberalnyer1 @msnbc @TheRevAl The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Good luck being a fan of Big Al

One keen observation on the MSNBC host.
@msnbc @TheRevAl He doesn't look well. Maybe there's hope for our races.
