Newt Gingrich’s ill-considered comment about Rep. Paul Ryan’s courageous Medicare reform plan provided good fodder for liberals, and they are certainly making use of it tonight:

If Paul Ryan is the GOP vice presidential nominee, Democrats will play that quote over and over. Although Gingrich apologized for it, the damage cannot be undone.  Heck of a job, Newt.
