Retiring Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin is in hot water tonight for some remarks he made on Republican candidate for Senate Joni Ernst’s looks while campaigning for Bruce Braley in Iowa. Andrew Kaczynski of BuzzFeed tweets:

Conservatives, however, don’t expect the media to call Harkin out on his rhetoric anytime soon:
Currently the Real Clear Politics polling average has Ernst up by 1.8 percentage points.
