State Dept. gave watchdog ‘inaccurate’ info on Clinton email
The Washington Post is reporting Wednesday nightthat in 2012, the State Department tolda watchdog group thatit had no documents regarding Secretary of State HillaryClintons email accounts other thanher government email address.
The information comes from a report bythe State Departments inspector general due to be released Thursday.
The Post reports thata 2012 records request from the independent watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington was met with an “inaccurate and incomplete” response from the State Department, despite the fact that Clinton’schief of staffwas aware ofherprivate account.
CREW’srequest, the Post reports, “was sparked by the discovery that Lisa Jackson, then-administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, had been using an alias email at work with the name ‘Richard Windsor,’ largely for personal communication.”
