A Couple Beautifully Says Goodbye To Their Deceased Dog. The Last 2 Photos Destroyed Me.
Helena and Laurent are a San Francisco-based couple who are not only married, but they work together as wedding photographers. According to their Web site, Helena always wanted to be an artist and Laurent wanted to fly through the desert and photograph lions. They are living a slightly modified version of their dreams (less lions) and love to share that special wedding day with the couples that they photograph.
So it’s no surprise that when their beloved dog, Lunga, recently passed away, they sent her off in beautiful style.
In Lunga’s younger years, she was in a traveling circus.
When Hurricane Katrina hit, Lunga was there… and she swam out!
Helena and Laurent are sad to see her go.
But this weekend, they will plant a Weeping Cherry tree over the place where she lays in an urban farm plot owned by their family.
She will always be surrounded by bunnies, chickens, and her best dog-friend Quila.
I’m sure Helena and Laurent will never forget her.
Having watched dogs of my own pass on, this is extremely touching. The way Helena and Laurent saw their beloved pet off is beautiful.
