When you’re a hunter who kills and cooks your own food, the last thing you expect is for your catch to come back to life at some point during the cooking process. That goes double if you happen to be into hunting and cooking rattlesnakes. Sadly, this is a thing that actually happens sometimes. Take, for example, what happened to the guy in this video. He caught a couple of rattlesnakes and was preparing to cook them when one seemingly came back to life…despite being headless and skinless.

When this happens with dead animals, it’s usually because someone put salt on them, which can make the nerve endings fire and cause twitching. However, according to the video description, there was no salt or seasoning on the snake when it started moving. On top of that, what this thing did was much more than a twitch. Nothing is sacred.
