Grandpa Clinton is hip to those ‘rap tunes on MTV’
Former presidential hopefulMarco Rubio was downright babyfaced when compared to his rivals on the debate stage, andhis knowledge of rapchronicled in “The Marco Rubio Guide to Hip-Hop” in the Washington Postonly served as a reminder that (GOP) voters were dealing with a new generation of candidate.
During his run for president, Secretary of State John Kerry also claimed that he was “fascinated by rap and by hip-hop,” particularly itscoupling of poetry andsocial energy. We’re not convinced Kerry, who seems to gravitate to prehistoricsinger/songwriters like James Taylor and Jimmy Buffet, could name a favorite rapper, though.
Today was Bill Clinton’s turn to weigh in on hip-hop.
