‘Let Allah sort it out’: Sarah Palin weighs in on bombing Syria

Yesterday Sarah Palin called on President Obama to make clear to the American people just which side he’s rooting for in the Syrian conflict, and today she’s making it clear she’s no fan of bombing Syria with conventional weapons to prevent Bashar al-Assad from bombing it with chemical weapons.

Her entreaty to “let Allah sort it out” is sure to ruffle feathers, but it’s not the first time she’s said it in relation to Syria. At the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference in June, she cautioned against U.S. intervention “until we have someone who knows what they’re doing.” Obviously, that condition hasn’t been met.

Palin has spelled out her case against military intervention in a lengthy Facebook post, but her conclusion remains that “if we are dangerously uncertain of the outcome and are led into war by a Commander-in-chief who can’t recognize that this conflict is pitting Islamic extremists against an authoritarian regime with both sides shouting ‘Allah Akbar’ at each other, then let Allah sort it out.”

Perhaps the foreign policy experts on Twitter can straighten out Palin, and maybe give the president some valuable tips while he wrestles with his tortured spirit.

No, she won’t be deleting the tweet. She’s said it before, and she’ll say it again. She’s like that.
