Credit to “Ellen” executive producer Andy Lassner for being honest about his limited grasp of politics. Sure, his tweet about fearing the NRA more than the NSA is the perfect bait to rile up those crazy right-wingers, so we suppose it served its purpose there.

Still, we’re a little disturbed by the apparent trend to see the Bill of Rights as an à la carte menu, not to mention America’s growing expectation that government agencies are something to be “scared of,” particularly if your political views don’t quite match up with those of the current executive in chief.

But enough about rights; time to get back in the basement and clean those guns.
