Indeed.
And you know the Chicago Teachers Union strike isn’t For the Children™ when some of the most vocal pledges of “solidarity” come from the Occupy Movement.
Its offical: #Strike! @OccupyChicago stands in #solidarity with @CTULocal1 , see ya on the picket line! #FairContractNow

It’s part of a “global rising tide,” natch.

Occupiers across the country are crawling out of their tents (and their parents’ basements) to support Chicago teachers in their oh-so-righteous struggle for the children. If by “children,” you mean 30 percent raises. Right now, the average salary for a nine-month teaching position is $76,000, not including benefits.

#CTUstrike issues sound like total social justice campaign not a labor concern. Let's join the Occupy club. @RahmEmanuel

I'm walking the perimeter of the school. LOTS of cars honking support. Wearing my #occupy hoodie and getting tons of support too! #ctustrike

Know what’s missing from these tweets? The words “children,” “kids,” and “students.” Except when they can be used as props for the labor movement and the progressive agenda:
#Truth RT @SocialistViews: Teachers' working conditions are kids' learning conditions. Support the #CTUstrike!
