While much of the U.S. is facing the fact that warm temperatures are slowly fading, the southern part of the country still has a good deal of time before it starts to feel like fall.

Whether you’re in South Carolina like me or Los Angeles like these bears, the heat index is real. While I have technology to thank for keeping me cool (shoutout to my air-conditioner!), these cuties have just shade and lakes to chill in. At least that’s what you would think.

When this momma bear and her cubs wandered into a suburban California neighborhood, they found a much nicer option — a swimming pool!

I never thought I’d say it, but I’m officially jealous of these bears.

The furry family was chased away from one pool by a brave dog, but found another one nearby to keep them cool just a little longer. I just wish I could have joined them…
