Romney ‘tampon ban’ hoax inspires ridicule from conservatives

What “tampon rumor?” We learned from Twitter that known enemy of lady parts Mitt Romney will ban tampons if elected president. Some say the rumor was started by a lame political satire published months ago on the parody site Free Wood Post, but you can’t fool Ace and friends.

First they came for the Kotex, and I stayed silent, because I prefer Maxi-Pads.

If tampons are outlawed, only outlaws will have tampons. Think about it. I didn’t.

— FourTwoZero (@AceofSpadesHQ) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq Tampons should be safe, legal, and rare.

— Miké (@ThePantau) October 11, 2012

Will Romney ban all tampons or just so-called “assault tampons” (those with wings and 50% more absorbent capacity)?

— FourTwoZero (@AceofSpadesHQ) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq High Capcity tampons definitely banned. Why would any sportsman need a military grade tampon in America?

— Rob Tam (@robtr2) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq dear gawd- are you one of those…bitter tampon clingers?? 😉

— Ree F. (@LunaticLair) October 11, 2012

Tampon truthers, clinging bitterly to their Tampax! Save us, Obama!

@aceofspadeshq Never!! They’ll have to take the tampon from my cold, dead..oh wait. Ew.

— Kate Braddock (@fatekisminy) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq Romney doesn’t want to ban tampons, he just wants reasonable restrictions like limiting women to 1 tampon a month.

— The H2 (@TheH2) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq We need to revisit these “concealed carry” tampon laws.

— Jason Shropshire (@shr0p) October 11, 2012

@thepantau @aceofspadeshq did Obama vote present when prior tampon banning laws were debated? Why isnt Sandra Fluke demanding free ones?

— Edward von Bear (@Edward_von_Bear) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq tampon legislation should be dealt with at state level

— Tom Stivali (@TStivali) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq I expect that Romney will aggressively pursue a 5 day tampon waiting period.

— liberrocky (@liberrocky) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq I say we tax the Hell out of them, and outlaw 232oz. tampons immediately.

— Champion Capua (@ChampionCapua) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq how many women have to die of toxic shock syndrome before we finally start having a national conversation on tampon control?

— Colonel Pooteh (@ColonelPooteh) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq If you like your tampon, you do NOT get to keep your tampon.

— BamaFS (@BamaFS) October 11, 2012

@theh2 Look, it doesn’t matter what anyone says, GOP or Dem. At the end of the day, Big Tampon is pulling the strings. @aceofspadeshq

— Walt Gilbert (@walt_gilbert) October 11, 2012

Fact check, please:

did you know that some women have to pay almost $18,000 per year for tampons??? That’s just wrong.@theh2 @aceofspadeshq

— wiserbud (@WiserMeany) October 11, 2012

This Republican war on women has gone too far.

Mitt Romney’s America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley tampons @aceofspadeshq

— The H2 (@TheH2) October 11, 2012

@aceofspadeshq No menstruation without representation.

— Kate Braddock (@fatekisminy) October 11, 2012

Has all of this tampon nonsense cleared up anything?

I will never again underestimate the ignorance of #Obama voters. lifenews.com/2012/10/10/war… #presidentladyparts #tampon #tcot
