Two-headed animals might seem like they only exist in myths and frightening folktales, but I’m here to burst your bubble. While rare, two-headed creatures certainly exist. They suffer from a condition called polycephaly — a term derived from Greek, meaning “multiple heads.”

Take this two-headed albino Honduran milk snake, for example. Not only are polycephalic critters real, but you can even keep some of them as pets!

As far as two-headed monsters go, this reptilian duo is actually kind of cute! Even though they seem like mythical beasts, not all creatures suffering from polycephaly are scary.
