Ignorant celebrities have a knack for shooting their mouths off about politics, which, to put it bluntly, is exhausting and irritating. Thankfully, not all entertainers feel the need to unload their political views on the general public. Ruth Buzzi, comedienne and “Laugh-In” regular, took to Twitter today to issue a gentle reminder to loud-mouthed celebrities to stick to their day jobs:
A good actor’s or a good singer’s opinion on politics is no more valid than a good plumber’s, a good teacher’s, or a good fire fighter’s.

And we shouldn’t look to celebrities for anything more than entertainment.
Sure, we have the right to express opinions!Just remember you don’t crawl to us for advice on medicine or investments. Think for yourself!

Only two actors actually had a genuine impact on American politics: Ronald Reagan and John Wilkes Booth.

I’d keep tweeting, but it’s almost time to put on my black robe and get back to my duties on the Supreme Court.Decisions, decisions.

Hee!
Hear, hear! Well said, Ms. Buzzi. Here’s hoping that your colleagues will follow your very sensible lead.
