Have you ever worked at a private sector job where your paycheck was directly tied to how “successful” you were at driving the company deeper into debt? Of course not, but the rules in the business of public sector liberal politics are much different.
Boxer considers driving up the debt ceiling as “paying the bills,” but all that does is create more bills to pay.
