Fight like a girl: Michelle Malkin and Sen. Roy Blunt battle over Obamacare

And so began a Twitter battle between Michelle Malkin and Senator Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) He, of course, pointedly avoided answering her questions.

The brouhaha started when Senator Blunt sort of responded to Michelle’s blog post about Republicans who’ve caved to the massive Obamacare:

GOP Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri, vice chair of the Senate GOP Conference, told a St. Louis radio station two weeks ago that he supports keeping at least three Obamacare regulatory pillars: federally imposed coverage of “children” up to age 26 on their parents’ health insurance policies (the infamous, unfunded “slacker mandate”), federally mandated coverage regardless of pre-existing conditions (“guaranteed issue,” which turns the very concept of insurance on its head and leads to an adverse-selection death spiral) and closure of the coverage gap in the massive Bush-backed Medicare drug entitlement (the “donut hole fix” that will obliterate the program’s cost-controls)…Some Republicans are even trying to out-Obama Obamacare.

Unbelievable. Conservatives really do need to fight like girls when those elected to represent us need mommy to give them a time-out.

The senator pulled an Obama and proceeded to “be clear.”

.@michellemalkin To be clear, I’ve long supported the full repeal of #ObamaCare & replacing with common-sense health care solutions.

.@michellemalkin You can read more about what I support replacing #ObamaCare with here: http://t.co/MlZTgCCe

Only, not so clear. That was all Senator Blunt had to say about it. Twitchy’s own Michelle persisted in attempting to get a straight answer from the hedging politician and refused to let him get away with such nonsense.

.@RoyBlunt So you are for "guaranteeing access to fair and affordable care for all Americans." How? Who pays? Not spelled out.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) June 14, 2012

.@RoyBlunt U want "Universal Access Program" to expand high-risk pools. Obamacare already spending $5bil on these. How's it working out?

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) June 14, 2012

.@RoyBlunt U also support banning insurers from adopting lifetime/annual spending limits, just liked Obamacare. Same old, same old.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) June 14, 2012

You tell him, Michelle! Truth is hard for the beltway-entrenched.

.@gene_moore not much of a conversation. @RoyBlunt hasn't answered anything I've asked…

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) June 14, 2012

This is the level of the US hlthcare debate. Sigh. RT @rivellij: @michellemalkin @RoyBlunt sure hope you never get sick

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) June 14, 2012

Attn @RoyBlunt staff. MT @philipaklein: Noticeably absent from @RoyBlunt HC outline is mention of changing tax code–key to any true reform.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) June 14, 2012

@WestwoodKing You tell me what I got wrong. At 5:23 @RoyBlunt proudly brags about slacker mandate and takes full ownership.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) June 14, 2012

Maybe Senator Blunt is ignoring Michelle’s tweets because she’s #justablogger!

And predictably, Twitter progressives used the opportunity to express how tolerant and loving they are.

Bad week for Obnoxious Anchor Baby @MichelleMalkin. First smacked down by Juan Williams over WH Leaks, now this: http://t.co/vqx4lw6h
