Poll shows zero percent African-American support for Romney

A new poll commissioned by MSNBC and the Wall Street Journal shows that President Barack Obama heads into convention season with a four-point lead over rival Mitt Romney. Another number in that poll, though, seems to be drawing attention: African-American support for Romney stands at a solid zero percent.
New NBC poll has black support for Romney at zero percent. Just, wow.

MSNBC’s Touré, recently seen accusing Romney of “niggerizing” Obama, was quick to pass along the zero percent number.
0%. RT @Jason_Reads: NBC/WSJ: Obama leads Romney among African Americans (94% to 0%). http://t.co/k593ritj

@Toure @Jason_Reads Welp. Skewed sample, much?
— Web Smith (@web) August 21, 2012
The poll is the result of telephone interviews with 1,000 people, 12 percent of whom identified themselves as black and 74 percent as white. Some are wondering why they didn’t get a phone call.
@Toure That poll, however, is not entirely true. I know at least 6 people who will be voting for Romney: my parents and 4 younger brothers.

Rather than wait for the pollsters to find them, some sent up a flare in the form of a #BlackConservativesForRomney hashtag and a Black Conservatives for Romney Facebook group.
