Awesome: Redskins QB RGIII blasts ‘tyranny of political correctness’
http://twitter.com/#!/craigcarroll/status/329338038415142912
Late last year, ESPN’s Rob Parker blanched at the idea that Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III might be a “cornball brother,” aka a black Republican. So, we can only imagine what Parker’s thinking after seeing this tweet from Griffin:
In a land of freedom we are held hostage by the tyranny of political correctness
— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) April 30, 2013
Bam!
Naturally, lefties are freaking out:
Loyalty to local racist named team fading…fading. @rgiii: In a land of freedom we are held hostage by the tyranny of political correctness

Some people think that Griffin’s tweet is about basketball player Jason Collins’ announcement that he’s gay:

— Osman Noor (@OzzyForMayor) April 30, 2013
While others think it might have to do with the Redskins’ possible name change:
Must be talking about: washingtonpost.com/local/dc-polit… RT @rgiii: In a land of freedom we are held hostage by the tyranny of political correctness”
— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) April 30, 2013
Apparently not a fan of “the Redtails,” either. RT @rgiii: In a land of freedom we are held hostage by the tyranny of political correctness

In any event, here’s something to keep in mind:
What @rgiii said is true regardless of what he was talking about specifically when he said it.

Amen.

Update:
It turns out RGIII was just getting warmed up. He checked in later to clarify the definition of tyranny, if not the subject of his earlier tweet.
Tyranny has not just 1 meaning.
— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) April 30, 2013
Tyranny- “a condition imposed by some outside agency or force <living under the tyranny of the clock” or political correctness….
— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) April 30, 2013
If we speak..we say it the wrong wayIf we do not speak we are cowards….

Editor’s note: Robert A. George (@RobGeorge) is a conservative. His tongue-in-cheek tweet was included to draw attention to the stupidity of the “cornball brother” concept. We apologize for any confusion.
