NBC’s ‘1600 Penn’ comedy derided by entire Twittersphere

“1600 Penn,” NBC’s new “comedy,” premieres on January 10. Tonight, TV viewers were treated to a promo ad. Well, “treated” isn’t the right word. “Subjected” or “tortured” seems more appropriate judging from the response. The overwhelming Twitter verdict?

“Just awful.”

Here’s why “1600 Penn” was trending on Twitter this evening:

Pretty impressive how horrifically awful 1600 Penn appears to be. #nbc

What’s the over/under on how many episodes it takes 1600 Penn to be canceled? It looks miserable. Just. Awful.

Is there a show being promoted with less appeal than 1600 Penn?I give it 4 episodes.

I don’t think I’m overstating this but ,1600 Penn looks like the worst show ever

I give ‘1600 Penn’ one episode before it’s canceled.

— Nerdy Wonka (@NerdyWonka) December 9, 2012

Let’s go ahead and assume that 1600 Penn is already cancelled.

If 1600 Penn isn’t cancelled within the first month it airs, I’m never watching tv again.

Did they cancel 1600 Penn yet?
