Satire? There’s an app for that — or there should be. As Twitchy reported Wednesday, Politico’s Roger Simon was the man behind the story that GOP VP candidate Paul Ryan was calling Mitt Romney “The Stench” behind his back and refusing to take his phone calls.

It was a clumsy attempt at satire to be certain, but the desire for it to be true was enough to sucker Keith Olbermann, Paul Krugman and other liberals, who excitedly spread the news — which leads us to another great idea.
